Granulated Slag Ball (GS Ball)

Granulated Slag Ball (GS Ball) is a blasting abrasive made from Steel Slag Atomizing Process. It is a substitute for sand and copper Slag, which are generally used for blasting jobs. It is better in performance as compared to Copper Slag in terms of profile and roughness.

GS Ball can be reused for three times whereas copper slag cannot be reused. It is an eco-friendly blasting abrasive since it emits very less amount of dust during the process of blasting.

Advantages:

Sand Blasting: Abrasive blasting at high pressure is commonly used against an object to smoothen out a rough surface. Sand blasting describes the action of launching very fine components of the material at high-speed, to clean up or etch a surface. Shot blasting is used for blasting metal. Mobile shot blasting machines are most used for blasting drums, floors or walls.

Sandblasting is typically used for two different applications.

  • Over size and Undersize fractions are Max. 10% and Max. 5% respectively
  • Low wear of Equipment which saves equipment maintenance cost
  • Negligible dust during usage
  • Turbidity tested, negligible dust level in water
  • High Strength, High Durability, Low breakage which saves production cost
  • Non - reactive to water, no flash rust found after 4weeks submerged in water

  • This product has been tested on new steel (Grade A) in accordance with ISO 8502 - 3, Assessment of dust on steel surfaces prepared for painting (pressure sensitive tape method) Tests for the assessment of surface cleanliness and achieved level less than dust quantity Rating 2
  • This product meets the requirement of SSPC Abrasive Standard No-1 Type -2 Class-A
  • This product meets the turbidity test as per API sets limit of <250FTU
